Training a global sales force
I joined Apple in 2011 as a copy editor. My group, known as Apple Sales Training, was filled with Instructional Designers—people who systematically design training to improve the sales techniques that lead to transactions.
We created training materials, including e-learning, in-person workshops, apps, and one-on-one demo training for salespeople in more than 50 countries in more than 35 languages.
After a year, I moved to the writing side of the house and became an Instructional Designer myself, specializing in crafting in-store demonstrations.
