It’s weird to have worked for Facebook and later see it become a platform for disinformation and have a major role in destabilizing American democracy. In just the previous year, Facebook rolled out a campaign touting the social benefits of Groups—the same groups that white supremacists and MAGA used to organize the insurrection on the capital. So again, why not just be straightforward about the product’s real use.
